you're kidding... right?
K... so since I had to wear that big ol'brace... I wore a lot of skirts & culottes... Yes, it was much more casual than slacks, but since it was summer and the rest of the office dresses much more casual that this... I still thought I was appropriately following the dress code.
The culottes I have on today are black, with a wide waistband, very similar to the ones in that lil' picture there. I have them on with a white & green striped polo shirt, a black cardigan & black slides.
I'm sure you can imagine the look on my face when I opened this email. (click to enlarge)

I honestly just want to go home and crawl back into bed...
For 3 1/2 months I've been wearing 6 pairs of culottes, 3 pairs of capris and, i dunno... a dozen skirts maybe... I understand it's September, and after Labor Day... but it's not like I'm wearing white sandals & linen... The high temperature is supposed to be 83 degrees today...
I'm not sure if I'm more upset that they didn't ask me to stop wearing "this type of outfit" back in May, or if it's the passive aggressive tone in which this was delivered....
argh...
On a different note... I passed the oral board testing for that other job... 94.4%. I'm one of the 4 that they're going to put thru background. (Which I have no worries about)... I don't think I've ever been so excited to have to wear a uniform than I am today.

are you kidding me???
It's probably a damn good thing they couldn't get their heads out of their asses long enough to hire me last year cause I would've been fired already... I'd never let someone treat me that way.
I seriously don't know how you take that crap.
Wot the fook? What is wrong with that outfit? Going to the beach? What an idiot. What if you were wearing tweed ones with knee high black boots? Is that appropriate beach wear? Because it would be the same outfit, but different fabrics. I'd shove an office chair up someone's rear. But that's just me. I'm kinda bitchy and mean.
i really wonder if the muscle shirt ugg boot wearing girl got an email like this.
Me thinks you need to confront them, AND get that new job
wow. WOW.
I think that email is stupid. On the other hand I think emailing someone to tell them that their dress is inappropriate is stupid so....hmmm. My manager's way of telling me he doesn't like my clothing is to say, "I really hate what you're wearing". I then respond with, "so are you saying not to wear this to work or you just don't like it?" and that usually gets the job done.
Sorry people are so stupid!
OK I tried leaving a comment and it didn't take. Which is not entirely a bad thing cause I was logged into my super secret gmail account LOL
Don't know where it went...but I basically said tell that person who emailed you to fuck off. How unprofessional and petty can you be? I hate petty people like that.
As for the background, you've pretty much got the job in the bag, they'll be calling soon to offer you the job. That's how it works here anyway. :)
Hey chick, long time no talk.
Congrats on the next step in your process, and then it will be to hell with them and their sarcastic ass emails and shit.
You go girl, so proud for you on the last step going so well.
I don't wear black to the beach. Maybe that's just me though.
