the ups and downs of life....

I often wonder if we're forced to have shitty days, just so we can remember how good the "average" days can be... I mean, I can go weeks and weeks of having a pretty normal day to day experience... nothing too exciting... work is work... life is life... nothing too impressive...definitely nothing to blog about!

Then, I have those 2-3 days, where it seems the end of the world is right on my heels, and if I don't do something RIGHT NOW life as we know it will change forever and "poof"... game over...

So emails are sent, the meaning of life is discussed, apologies are spoken, and things work themselves out... and it's back to reality... and all of a sudden, an average weekend happens... and yet it feels like a really great one!

I had one of those days today... absolutly nothing special happened... but after last week... it just felt really good to sit down with friends and eat taco bell together while watching a baseball game and having a glass of wine.

Things could definitely be better... and I'm sure if I sat down to write one, my "wish list" would be pages long... but right now I'm just happy that the people in my life seem to care enough that my smile matters... and they're trying to keep it there. Thank heaven for good friends and good wine....
