k... quick update on the details...

I got the call on Friday... I was told I'd have an answer MONDAY.... so when I stated that I had some concerns since I hadn't heard from them, it was explained to me that they are, by protocol, not allowed to contact me between the conditional offer and the final offer (or to tell me they aren't going to hire me). So THAT is why she didn't return my call on Tuesday, because she didn't have my medical stuff... She got the Med report on Thursday and because there were a couple restrictions on it, she had to review it with the Chief of Police & the Command Level Tech Manager...

So... what restrictions you ask??? Because I'd just gotten out of the hospital... the Dr. has a 20 pound lifting restriction and something that says I cannot squat for too long... (I almost passed out when I squatted and then came back up quick)... well I'd only been out of the hospital for 2 days, so I wasn't 100% that's for sure... I'm kind of concerned that the PD interpreted this as a PERMANENT restriction... but hey... they hired me anyway, so I'm not gonna worry my pretty little red head about it!

I start on January 7th... I get benefits starting February 1st... the money is good, not as good as my last job, but the benefits and retirement will be worth it in the end... and plus, I need to remember I'm not taking a pay cut... I'm unemployed!!!! I keep forgetting that I'm never going back to that place....

Anyway... I know a lot of people were thinking positive thoughts for me... and for both my health and the job, I cannot thank you enough... I know it helps!

I'm in the middle of a craft project... if anyone wants an ornament made out of recycled x-mas cards, lemme know... I know I'm gonna have a ton of them considering what a pack-rat my mom is! So back to the craft table for me... Have a great weekend!
