Hi there...

I'm at the parents house... have been since Friday... it's nice to be "home".

I spent Thanksgiving with MMM and her family and it was a lot of fun... when we all get together we play games, usually CatchPhrase, and I'm really really really good at it, if I do say so myself..... (eyeroll)

Friday I drove up north in the Jeep during some high wind warnings, and lemme tell ya... boxy square cars REALLY feel the wind... I was never "scared", but there were a few times I know the people behind me were like "pick a lane, lady!" because I found myself drifting a bit....

We celebrated Turkey Day on Saturday... my step-dad is a Correctional Officer and my Brother-In-Law is a Fire Fighter/EMT, so they both worked on actual Thanksgiving... dinner was wonderful and my sisters taught us how to play a new domino game, something about Mexican Trains, although I still have no clue where the Mexico part comes in.... Step-Dad lost horribly and it was funny to hear him grumble and mumble the entire time.

Sunday, they went to church, I didn't.... the church I grew up going to is.... I dunno how to explain it other than to say it's dying a long slow death.... they're not getting new members, and the old ones are dying off or have moved away... or, like my mom, they've found a more active perish and have joined them. I didn't feel like going to the new church, knowing that my name was on the prayer chain and that the entire time I was in the hospital ill, they were all doing they're thing for me... just a little "faith overload" in my eyes... although it was very much appreciated...

I've spent lots of time with my sisters and my nephew... he's a-effin-dorable! He smiles now and "talks/sings"... making silly noises and not quite mimicking us... but the interaction is there... I have some video of him, maybe I'll upload & share it.

I was supposed to hear back from the PD yesterday... nothing yet... :sigh:

My horoscope for today:
11/27/2007
You clean your kitchen when it gets messy, you clean your car when the back seat gets cluttered -- and you should clean your mind when it gets filled up with a bunch of negative things. This isn't a question of ignoring the real problems you may be mulling over, it's a question of letting go of worry. There are things you just can't do anything about -- those are the things you have to stop thinking about today. Move on with good thoughts, and leave the old, icky ones behind.
So, I'm trying really hard to convince myself that maybe the holiday caused some sort of delay in the psych/physical results, or the HR lady decided to take a long weekend, or.... I dunno... I'm trying to think positively.... it's not working very well....

OK... so today... maybe make some cookies, some x-mas ornaments, crochet a bit... wait for the phone to ring & go from there...

Pictures & Video to come...
