So I don't have Cancer...

No Leukemia nor Lymphoma....

That was the final test results I'd been waiting on... after all the zillion's of other tests....

They want to keep checking my blood levels and they're waiting on some results regarding cytogenic chromosome testing (where they analyze my DNA and see if I'm genetically prone to anything).. I have an appointment with the Hematologist on Tuesday to discuss it more.

So the end result is... well there isn't one yet... I'm still a medical mystery and there are still more test results trickling in.

My file at the hospital when I left was (no kidding) 3+ inches thick and when Dr. Moore had written out just the tests given and the results, it was a page & a half long. It may just have been a flu virus gone crazy...

As most of you know, I'm trying to get on with the Police Department, and the Human Resources lady called me last night to check on me. She said that one of the younger female officers was suffering from "the flu"... and all of a sudden she felt pain and numbness in her chest/arm and they called 911 and sent her to the hospital with heart attack symptoms... They get the test results back and low & behold, the virus had attacked the lining/fluid surrounding her heart... no cardiac arrest at all... so this flu season is a scary one.

The PD people seem very "ok" with my hospital stay and even called to check up on me, I have one interview left... then they'll make a conditional offer. (Conditional based on me passing med/psych evaluations).

I'm going to take it easy for the next few days... Dr. Moore just called me and really wants me to rest and relax until all the results come back in.

Thank you so much for your thoughts & prayers... I really do appreciate them...

Actually, I'm also a medical mystery. Nothing serious, though. Good news about what you don't have. Now at least you can continue living your life. Good luck.

Gosh...I hope it was just a weird flu thing. I'm SOL with the flu virus vaccine because I'm allergic to it.

Hugs and loves to ya.

Scary that they don't really know what was wrong with you, but thank goodness it's definitely not cancer. You'll still be in my thoughts.

I'm here because of NYCWD. I'm happy to hear the cancer tests were negative. Rest up and let your body heal. Good thoughts coming to your from Singapore!
