I miss my shows...

and my tivo... I suppose until "the strike" is over, my tivo doesn't even have any shows to record...
The phone just rang, it's 1AM... and I can't get back to sleep... normally I'd pick a show or movie and drift off to sleep again, knowing whichever show I partially miss will be available to me at anytime...
Here, my routine is thrown, I have no tivo... I'm being held to the options provided by a small town cable company who REALLY seem to like religious programming and home shopping networks...
There is only one music channel, and it's country... and most of the other channels are info-mercials... the few channels that are showing "good shows" are hard for me to watch, because if I fall asleep mid program, I'll be pissed tomorrow when I can't remember how it ended... how did I live before tivo?!?!
If I go to bloglines, I'll be up all night because that will be TOO interesting...
I'm excited about the picture post, and I could work on that, but I'm not feeling it, I'd say I'll do it tomorrow but I still have to finish some other projects that need to be done by Christmas, so it may go up the week between then & the New Year...
OK... looks like the discovery channel has something mildly entertaining, documentaries are good, especially if the narrator has a calming voice... g'nite.

Me too although it's a good opportunity to find shows you may not have watched otherwise. I'm getting into Intervention and American Justice.
I heart Tivo. No way would I be without it again. That's kinda sad really.
We watched some really fucking stupid and I mean REALLY fucking stupid '70s movie with James Brolin called The Car. It was so bad, so horrible, I actually watched it.
This is what I get for being married to a SciFi channel addict.
I miss my shows too. We have maybe one show a night recorded and I hate it.
I should be using this time to "get stuff done" - but, um, no.
Lucky me! I'm not addicted to any shows....well, not like...real ones...*cough*
Anyway, you should get a slingbox so that you can watch your TiVo'd stuff and your TV channels when you're up there. I've been thinking about getting one but I can't think of a reason why I would be that far away from my house for that period of time..so yeah..
