I got a call from the P.D. today... I start on Monday, 8am-6pm. Yep! 10 hour days!!! You know what that means??? 3 day "weekends"!!!!!! Woo hoo!!! I may not end up with Friday-Saturday-Sunday off for a while, but I'm just excited about the 4/10 schedule!!!!

As you can see from the post below, we're getting quite a bit of rain and wind around here today! We lost power for half the day, and I wouldn't be surprised if it goes out a few more times over this storm series. Three more days of this to look forward to... I have lot's of bottled water and leftover christmas candy, I know I'll survive!

So, during the power outage, I decided to go thru my closet and take out all my "work clothes". You know, the unflattering flat front slacks and button up collared shirts that require way too much ironing... ya... I guess I really hated ironing because it seems as if every time I needed to do laundry, I just went out and bought new clothes... I have WAY too many slacks & button up shirts in my closet... considering I HATE THEM!!!! I have no idea what to do with them...

The three options I've come down to are 1) eBay them... but I've never even BOUGHT anything from eBay, so I'm not sure if that will ever happen. 2) Take them to a consignment store... Lastly 3) find one of those places that gives work clothes to women who are trying to get back into the work force and get off public assistance...

The last one is the most charitable, the eBay one is probably going to get me the most money back... so that means I'll probably do the 2nd one.... cuz I'm lazy & greedy like that.

OK... so as you can see... I changed my template... it's designed by Rachel over at WDS, but it's a freebie so I had to install it myself and I'm not sure I did it right. I miss the "roll up" blog roll, because now my sidebar is forever long... and it seems to load a bit slow... and also, the main part is only 450px wide and my last blog was 500px, so the pictures are all wonky now... hmmmmm... I guess it will do until I can pay to have them design one for me.... if I get sick of it I can always re-install the cocktail one, it just seems silly to have martini's on my blog header when I haven't had a drink since October... ya know?

If anything looks "wrong" lemme know... you look at the same page over and over again for a couple hours and you're bound to miss some things....

I've found out recently that you can take them to some place like the salvation army and they will give you a tax receipt for a little help on your taxes. That way everyone wins.

I first read P.D. as P.O. and started wondering why you had a parole officer.

Although now that I think about it, it's not a bad idea...

Flooble.com can help you with the blogroll roll-up - I used that for mine. I also changed the margins & stuff for the new template I just put up - e-mail if you have any questions!
