Birthday silliness...

OK... so my birthday was very nice... I got gorgeous flowers, a wonderful bottle of wine... boots I wanted, books, some movie collectibles... lottery tickets... and lot's of cards!

The Jedi & I went to dinner at a swanky spot on the lake and had some cocktails with friends... I really like the place and haven't been there in at least a year... I'd forgotten just how much I liked it... must remember to go there more! Their happy hour deals are totally affordable... I had 3 drinks here... the Jedi only had one... so we were good to go...

After happy hour, we decided to go have "just one more" drink at our local spot... ummmm... ya... for those of you that know me... or the Jedi... there's no such thing as "just one" when we go to the Nutty... we know way too many people there... and on my birthday... not a chance I was leaving there sober!

Started with a free one from the bartender... then the OTHER bartender... then my roommate... and then a boy who likes me... and that's about when my girlfriend (MMM) cut me off... EXCEPT (!!!) it's MY BIRTHDAY and I was finishing that last drink dammit! She knows my limit, and usually I respect her judgment... but last night I felt like I deserved that last drink... I'd had a shit week, a shit year for that matter... so drink it I did!

and that's when the night got foggy.... from what I can tell... I didn't drunk dial anyone and I only sent one drunk email... and it was pretty mild... just bitchin' at someone who either forgot or chose not to acknowledge my special day.... pfft...

anyway... Jedi & WoWBoy went home in one car... MMM & I went in the other... because we are oh so responsible and left my car at the bar... my car with my purse, my camera, my presents, my flowers, my briefcase... should I go on? anyway... you get the point...

we get home (ok... that part is important)... and it's still early... like 10pm maybe... so we're hanging out & all of a sudden, I stand up and look around at my friends and say... out loud... "Dude... how am I gonna get home?!?!"... they all look at me like I'm crazy... so I say again "Who's gonna drive me home!?!?" I guess I went on for 20 minutes... between that and demanding my keys (that were in my HAND!!!).... what a friggin' mess...

I woke up this morning and MMM calls and says she'll be here in a few minutes so we can go to work... I'm like "why are you picking me up"... she then advises me that I don't have a car and tells me the above story... I don't believe her... I couldn't have been THAT intoxicated!!!

So I call the Jedi at lunch... and he proceeds to tell me the same story... ummm... ok... so the Jedi & MMM are gangin' up on me, right?... a little birthday prank... until tonight when we all go to dinner... and WowBoy starts to tell me how "funny" I am and the "How amd I gonna get home?!?!" story comes out of his mouth, told exactly as before...

needless to say, I was more than a little hung over this morning and I'm exhausted tonight... this isn't reading nearly as funny as I thought it might, but oh well... I promised a story... and there ya have it... I told everyone at dinner tonight I needed a video of them telling the story so I could put it on here...

MMM also took pictures with her phone, so there may be picture evidence of the night posted later...
